09/05: Labor Day Parade

I'll bring them sunday then and someone can take them home to freeze them. I have 2 boxes of 100, so if other people want to pick up some for extra popsicle fun time I got those boxes at walmart for i think $3.50. Big bags of candy cost like $8 so its a better deal!

My son's in the parade also with the cub scouts, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to skate or not. I'm going to try though!!

Lots of derby stuff this weekend so I wont be there...well the kid and I might be there cheering you guys on!!

super bummed that i will miss this - i have to work though!! i LOVE the popsicle idea though, we have some in the freezer that we wont eat anytime soon, i would be happy to donate if someone can coordinate w/ me to get them.....?? call or text me 309 532 1719
Also - will they already be cut so the kiddies can eat them right away???

When I handed them out in the Ottawa parade, we didn't cut them. People just use their teeth... There isn't enough time to cut them for people, and its too messy if they're precut. They melt fast.

The parade is tomorrow! Yay! Here is a summary of information:

* Meet at Unit #95 (our spot in line), which is near Prairie and Front St. at 10 am. I will be there at 9:45 am putting my gear on and to check the group in. Even though the parade starts at 10, there are a lot of groups, so we will still have to wait a bit.

* Popsicles did not work out this time around. So if everyone skating in the parade could bring a bag or two of candy, that would be fabulous! I'll also bring candy and buckets for the candy. For this parade though, only people skating or walking can throw candy. Nobody can throw candy from the truck.

* Could somebody please bring any posters, fliers and the Missfit banners? I will be at practice tonight, so you can just give them to me there, or I can meet up with you somewhere later, or you can just bring them tomorrow morning. I was a slight doofus and forgot to get those things today at the Pet-Co Fundraiser.

We decided at practice tonight that a group of us will meet [u]at the Rosie's parking garage at 9:45 am [/u] AT THE DISTRICT 87 OFFICE on 300 E. MONROE ST, and then walk over to our spot as a group. See you all tomorrow.

I will be there with my kiddos. They usually walk with my husband but this year they are all about the Missfits. I cant get the signup genius to take my password. :-(

Alrighty everyone, change of parade meeting place plans! It is highly likely that all of Front Street is going to be closed since the parade line up is taking place there.

If you want to meet up and walk together, we are going to park at the District 87 Offices which is on 300 E. Monroe St. in Bloomington. It is near the corner of Market and Prairie St. and only three blocks from where we need to line up. Let's meet there at 9:45 am!
