03/02/12(friday) NCHS PE class

An NCHS PE teacher has asked that we come and teach her three classes some basic skills and do some demos! So exciting! The date is Friday March 2nd from 8am-11am. Around an hour for each class:)

This is a great chance to be a positive role model for teens! And encourage sports and skating as a form of exercise!

So we need a handful of us MissFits to come and help. It would be nice to have 10 fits the whole time so we can do black and white jams!

Moxie and I are in for the all 3 classes! Who else? And we don't have to cap off at 10 we can a have a few more then that but not like 20.

i did something similar to this with the vixens we went to peru catholic and did a demo for an hour and i talked about all the stuff we do in the league. It was mostly a long Q & A session cuz those little kids had lots of questions. hehe

They are doing a skating unit in their class so I figured we can do basic stops and derby stance and maybe crossovers. Then do some jam demos and q and a. Anything u want to add will be great!

Idk how these kids will be, but the grade school kids new how to do t-stop, plow stop backwards skating all that stuff...they wanted to see us do jumps and stuff, so you might want to step it up a bit.

I have an email into the teacher regarding the plan. These are high schoolers so they probably want to see a lot of derby demos. Jumps would be good too. And it is to my understanding they will have slated. This will be fun!

I don't think i'll be able to do this now. no sitter for the kiddo, sad face rita this sounded like fun
