ELECTION INFORMATION--UPDATED 6/20
UPDATE 6/20:
HR will have paper ballots to hand out at vet practice this Wednesday, 6/22. You will have one week to hand your ballot in. They will be due by no later than 6/29, at vet practice. Please let me know if you need special provisions to get your ballot (ie; you won't be at any practices for the next week). You can hand them in to any member of HR (myself, Ivy or Candie). Please do not put an identifying markings on your ballot. I'd like this to be private. It's the American way. Don't let the terrorists win. That is all. Yours truly, Louden Surly
UPDATE:
Since we are only re-electing this round, I am going to keep this really simple. I'm thinking paper ballot. I am almost out of ink in my printer, so I need a little extra time to get this done.
I plan to have the ballots to hand out after the bout (next week at practice). Thanks for your patience!
Anyone have a rough estimate on how many ballots I should make?
Elections are almost upon us!
HR is runnin' this train (heh heh) and would like to get things started as soon as possible. The plan is to have the ballot box open (can't.stop.being.inappropriate) by the middle of June, with voting to commence from June 15th to June 18th. I'm stretching it a day longer than usual only because we have a bout on the 17th and I'm guessing we will be busy, busy, busy that day.
SO...here's the scoop so far:
Starting today (and this will be in another thread to keep things organized), anyone who would like to run (or re-run, to retain their current spot) for a board position will present their campaign speech stating why they should have (or keep) the job.
The board positions are as follows:
President
Vice President
Senior Advisor
Secretary
Treasurer
Who is eligible to run, you ask?
Any league member who is:
1) a league skater in good standing (see #2) with 12 or more practices
2) current on dues and attendance policy
3) willing to take on the many responsibilities of being a board member (IMPORTANT). This is NOT a cushy desk job, people. There are times when the board is asked to make very difficult decisions (HELLO? "That of which we do not speak of" Day anyone?).
If I am forgetting anything, please use THIS thread to expand. Also use this thread to ask questions, get clarification and anything other information you need to know. Lay it out there. Your questions will be answered and your concerns will be heard.
If for some reason you are shy panda about your question or concern, feel free to email HR at:

No problem! Voting does not close until the end of practice (or the end of the after practice smoke break), so you're all good sister.
