It won't happen on Sunday forever...

So, I'm just writing this in response to some things I've seen/heard about our bout tomorrow. YES, it is on a Sunday. NO, there is no booze.

But, you know what? This is just a trial. We try new things all the time to see if they work. If they do, we keep on keeping on. If they don't, we switch it up.

That's what MissFits do.

We want to be sustainable. We want to continue to be philanthropic in the community. If GTG lets us keep bouting there, that doesn't mean our bouts will be on Sundays. Will some of them? Maybe. But that's about $2500 extra that we won't be spending and will help us to create even a more positive impact within our community.

Negativity doesn't help, just saying.

So let's kick some Bloomington, Indiana asses tomorrow, K?

Personally, I wasn't excited about a Sunday bout until I realized just how many people that can never come to Saturday bouts, were able to come yesterday.

Plus, we donated $1,150 to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, which is the most we have donated in a long time.

Flippy cup on a Sunday was a new experience for me. And I like it!

Also- GTG was a neat venue. Do we know yet how they felt about us??

It went really well! The crowd was awesome and of course all the derby too! We will be following up with game time today or tomorrow Fingers crossed!

I called today, but not too much to report yet.
Larry, the owner, hasn't seen the floor yet and he makes the decisions regarding that.
I said that he could call after. I told Mindy that we thought it went really well and she agreed.

It would be great if we could host another one there this year (if GTG agrees), but I'm not sure given our Interstate Center contracts?

I also think having a Sunday bout occasionally works out fine.

If they will have us we can totally have another bout or two there! That's the plan. Thanks Lynn for following up on this!

I couldn't make the whole bout because I had to work (boo jobs!) but I thought it was kind of fun to do it on a Sunday afternoon. I think it would be nice to switch it up every once and a while?

Any word on Game Time?

Nope, not yet. The tape pulled up the varnish on the floor, so we are meeting soon to discuss it to see what the next steps are (if any).
