First home bout venue and date change!

Hi everyone!

We have some changes to our first home bout of the season. We have the opportunity now to host our bout at Game Time Gym! This means our expenses are cut not in half but MORE than half! Which is amazing and needed! I am thankful for this!

However, we will need to switch some dates around. The new season opener will be Sunday 4-28-13 doors at 1pm first bout at 2pm. Bleeding Heartland has agreed to still come and play us this day! Which is even more of a bonus. This bout can still count towards our wftda rankings.

What this means? We will be rescheduling the bootcamp with Peter Pan. Interleague will be working on this. Also we will be rescheduling our “draft party” which was going to be at the afterparty on the 27th. We will look into having our traditional draft party and will get some dates out.

Details of this bout will be coming soon. Bout planning committee met on Monday and will get out a report of the details.

This is like a trail bout there to make sure we don't damage their floor and we need to be on our best behavior while using the venue. We have to give it a shot! This is an exciting opportunity for us. If it doesn’t work out we have the interstate center as backup.

More money saved means more opportunity for our league. If anyone has any questions please ask.

For the fans, will they allow alcohol?

For the Peter Pan camp, this means we won't be getting the Interstate Center for free, will we in turn end up paying more for the boot camp as a league or individually?

For our vendors, will we still be using them?

No alcohol in the venue. The camp we are still trying to figure out. And they have food consessions there. So no food vendors. This will all be in the bout committee minutes. Also this is a trial to see how the new place works for both us and them.

Btw, its doors at noon and first bout at one.

Camp will now be April 7th $25/skater and $10/off skaters. It will be at the Y

Also to clarify, this will not go to wftda ranking. The Allstars are playing their B team. Not their sanctioned A team. I apologize for any misunderstanding with this as we are still learning how this all works. It will still be a very benificial bout for both teams and honestly we prolly won't rank until next season.
