5khaos Chaos

So, we have been asked to represent the Fits in a race that is very similar to the Warrior Dash, 5khaos, but it is cheaper and is locally located!! The run is on September 15, a Saturday. Although this will not be an official MissFit event, there are already several who are planning to sign up, so challenge yourself and join them. Here is the website: http://5khaos.com/.

Also, Wrecka, would this count as a practice? And, I'm sure Jerm would be down for making some new "Warrior" shirts for those who didn't partake in the Warrior Dash!!

I'm really tempted to do this! But I hate running so, so much. I'll do it during off skates, but I can't seem to force myself to do it on my own. Will anyone judge me if I briskly walk from obstacle to obstacle?

I want to do this! And I want to start Couch to 5k about it (I HATE running!!) Maybe a motivational FB group to get us to the 5khaos?!

i have my son that weekend so i cannot commit about it but i can commit to being in the crowd and cheering on my favorite girls kicking some ass:)

I'm totally in for this!!! Ginger, I'm down for going for a jog with you to get you ready! I, too, hate running but the feeling you get after challenging yourself and making it happen is amazing!!!! Set out to run/jog it...if you end up walking some, cool, but catch your breath and start jogging again. We can all use a little self challenge! So let's start helping each other out and support the shit out of each other! And just for the record....this is going to be SOOOOO much fun!!!!

I really wanted to this, but when I mentioned it to Chris, he reminded me that we'll be at riot fest in Chicago that weekend. So, I guess I'm waiting till next year...have fun Fits!

$200 for your company to name an obstacle - would the sponsorship committee want to think about doing this? We'd get our name on their website!

I have never been much of a runner, but I made a goal to be able to run a 5k (a little over 3 miles) without stopping, before the Warrior Dash. My only goal for the Warrior Dash was to finish, and it was the most amazing feeling. I will be training a lot more for this 5khaos though.
Start slow, with little goals. (Run a 1/2 mile without walking, run a mile without walking) You stop for all the obstacles so you don't have to be able to run for 3.1 miles straight.
Plus, we have a lot of time between now and this one! You ladies can do it!

I'll be there to cheer you all on! I have a half marathon the following weekend on Sept 23rd and don't feel like busting my ass (literally) again like at the warrior dash. So consider me a photographer and cheer-er on-er!

Also - for those worried about the running, honestly, you don't run far at all between obstacles. I've heard that this race has lots more obstacles than the warrior dash does. I think the most we ran straight (without having to go through an obstacle) was 1 mile. You can do it!

i want to become not fat sooo im a tentative maybe! i keep seeing pics of warrior dash and it looks like soo much fun.. and im getting pretty butch in my khaki pants at the zoo so i think i can i think i can!!!!!
