Heard back from the teacher and she says original plan of stops stance demos and q&a are great! We can add jumps in there too. She said the students are so excited for us to be there! We can be a positive role model for these teens! Anyone else wanna join?! I need to get her the list of names tomorrow or thursday morn the latest.

So what is everyone wearing? (Wow - that sentence makes me really feel like I'm going back to high school!) I know nothing too risque - but are people thinking just Missfits shirts?

Here is some info about parking and checking in:


There is parking at the front of the school on the west side for visitors- but only like three spots I think.  There should be open spots in the student lot on the west side as well.  I will meet you at the front doors since I do not teach first hour.  I would say around 7:45- first hour ends at 8:05 and 2nd hour begins at 8:10.  Our students will arrive to our class and go to get changed into their PE clothes- so we usually get moving around 8:15.

The adm assistant at the front door will ask for drivers license to verify who you are as well.

We will start with talking briefly on roller derby. What the pack is, jamming, pivot etc. maybe do some jams first. We can do 3 blockers and then do basic skills after, I.e. stops, jumps, balance, crossovers. Then end with q&a.

Bring black and white for the mini demo jam! See ya bright and early!

I may be up for tagging along with someone possibly. I was gonna just drive but for some reason they called yesterday and told us that Daymein was no longer eligible for bus services?!! So if I don't have that all fixed, it may be helpful to leave the car with the mister so he can get buddy to school .... that was long.

Anyway, I will check with the mister so see how we are gonna work it.

Also, can I wear my fuzzy leg warmers??
