Derby Boot Camp January 7th

MissFits, This came in to us from Dark River. I would LOVE to go and that day is open for me right now. I have a van that seats eight lovely ladies and gents....

Derby Coaltion in Quincy, IL. This is a save the date reminder for our
bootcamp, JANUARY 7, 2012, hosted by the Triple Threat Derby girls
from Sioux City, Iowa. Sum Mo Payne and PBR are some amazing women and
skaters. Our team greatly benefited from attending their bootcamp last
January. This is for WFTDA skills tested skaters to enjoy a whole day
of derby knowledge, pain, and companionship! More information and
waivers will be sent out promptly. Our board is meeting tomorrow night
to tie up any loose ends. We are capping attendance at 50 girls so
when the 'real invite' arrives don't hesitate to sign up!! NOTE: We
will be charging a small fee($2?) for non WFTDA tested skaters to come
and watch. We can't wait and hope you can't either!

I'm kind of interested in this! I know I'm a newbie, but are we allowed to join things like this, too? I'd prob get my ass kicked, but it would be a good way to get it in before the 2012 season starts! Do we know when more info will be available? Would we just drive there for the day and come home the same night or stay and come home Sunday?

when she has more info she will send it along. great opportunity. these are the girls the allstars will be playing in march so it will be cool to see what i got us into:)

I went to the triple threat bootcamp last january. Mo Payne and PBR (from sioux city) w/ Skitch ran it then also. They are very good skaters, and I learned a lot. I had only been playing derby for about 4 months at this time and I fit in just fine, so all you new girls shouldn't be worried about attending. It costed $25 for us and it included lunch. This would be a different league hosting so I'm not sure if they cost will be the same or no. I think it was worth it. We did about 2 hours of off skates workout and drills and on skates for the rest of the day. I was exhausted by the end of it. I don't know if it will be the same or what, just saying that was my experience from it.

Im working this weekend I do have vaction days...but this last season I had to use all of those on bout days...hrmmm gahhhh IDK!!!

still don't know my skating eta, but i would love to go watch if i can't participate.
