Nov 19 league needs

Hey MissFits,
I will post a review of what we discussed at the meetings last night at some point but for now I have a few important things that I need the league to keep their eyes and ears open for.

1. We need 2 EMT's and an ambulance on site for our bouts at the Interstate Center. If you know anyone that can help us get this, it is extremely important since we can't have a USARS sanctioned bout without them.

2. We are looking for a MissFit to sing the National Anthem. This bout is all about bringing back to being about the MissFits, so we would like the singer to be from our league if at all possible.

3. We are going to need volunteers like woah! Start talking to your friends, family and neighbors about volunteering with us. I am working on a volunteer sign up genius and a list of donations we will need for hospitality and I will have them out soon!

Can we ask Tits to sing?

I'd volunteer, but...y'all heard me screech Fiona Apple last Friday so...yeah. haha

I will work on getting some volunteers rallied. I am hoping to get a sponsorship/mutually beneficial partnership going with my new workplace as well.

I've got an email in to an EMT friend to see if she can give any info on how we go about getting EMT's/Amb for bouts - I will advise as soon as I find anything out!

My vote is for T. Basco (colleen) to sing the national anthem !!!!
She's a pretty amazing singer...little known fact?

I was going to say - hadn't we talked about T. Basco doing it before, if Tits wasn't available? It would be great to have her sing!

I know Common has a fabulous voice, and doesn't JMFK sing, too? Maybe we should start a database of MissFit skills, so we know who's available for what!

All volunteers have to be 21, correct?

I would like to pass the torch of singing the anthem and give other fabulous MissFits a chance to showcase some more of their amazing talent!

I would be more than willing to be a back up for either day, just in case something goes awry. And you know, I'll already have the microphone...

I'd like to clarify: No, JMFK does not sing, except for in the car and shower, badly.

Yes! I'll just email it to the shop so Travis and Kevin can look over it.

Nonny, Dr Jeff at Allied Health Group 268-9000 should be interested. They are in between wendys on college and the cortese foot place on vista drive. Tell him I told you to call he had asked about it when we were in last time. Ya might try to see him in person and bat your eyes at him, lol.

So far, I am comin up emtpy on the EMT stuff - the lady I knew said they were contracted through Coliseum. If no one else is working on this, I can call around to the fire departments tomorrow to get info.......let me know!

Bloomington Township Fire will not do it due to it being in Bloomington city limits. They said to contact Bloomington Fire and ask them. I do have one or two contact their if you need me to.

You can call around. I have 2 kids to deal with today no school for one and the other needs constant diapers, food and naps.

Those would be great Mark, we need to be very agressive with this. If we can't get them we can't bout Tayz had a lot of trouble getting anyone to contact her back so that was the reason we paid the fee throught the Coliseum.

Ok, here is the info for the ambulance stand by's w/ 2 EMTS:
Bloomington FD is avail both bout dates (they can only have so many amb stand-bys out at one time).
Cost for a non-profit event is $100/hour w/ a min 2 hour requirement.
This includes amb + 2 EMTs

I have all the contact info of how to put the request through and will be more than happy to handle. She did say that we should def check w/ I-state center to make sure that isnt something that is part of contract w/ them.....

If we are going to arrange it on our own (and it isnt part of contract w/ i-state center) we should prob put both reqs in at the same time.
