President and Treasurer Nominations

It's election time! Hr will be taking nominations for President and Treasurer until Friday 3/29. Please email nominations to mcmhrbusiness@gmail.com. Thanks!

All members of the board will be responsible for attending board meetings (which can be as often as once a month or can be called on an as needed basis), voting on league business, attending quarterly league meetings and be willing to take on added responsibility when needed.


President Duties:

--The forum (pres assistant also helps with this and will continue, if allowed)
--Communications with other leagues for various different reasons(situational obviously)
--WFTDA coordinator (with HR representative)
--Cosigner for treasurer, and takes money when she's absent-has debit card
--Show up early and leave late to most events.
--Take bouts very serious, president should be there to set up the track, room, and be able to run around and do anything last minute.
--Communicate with our non skating members (ex:Shannon for graphic stuff n always pick up programs on bout day).


Treasurer Duties:

--Dues collection
--Bookkeeping of all money in and out
--Banking responsibilities
--501 c3 application (when the time is right, possibly later this year)
--Bout day donation amounts and totals
--Approve/Deny any expenses used for the league (ex: fundraisers, posters, helmet panties…etc.)

Here are the updated roles descriptions for President and Treasurer:

President:
· The face of the league.
· Available and flexible for any meetings and phone conferences that might occur
· Available to attend most events
· Available to be at all bouts set up to tear down
· Representation of league at events, pr, meetings in the community.
· Lead league meetings
· Checks in with all committees
· Be aware of everything that is happening within the league
· Work closely with Vice President
· Work closely with Treasurer on finances.
· Signs and helps create contracts for the league
· If Treasurer is not available take money and pay out if necessary
· Carry league debit card and checkbook


Treasurer:
· Maintains financial status
· Creates financial reports and posts them on forum
· Works closely with President on what is coming in and out
· Takes dues and other income
· Pays Bills
· Works closely with the YWCA, Attractive Alternative (the old BJHS), Interstate Center and Game Time Gym, along with any other venues to pay rent and additional fees, and book dates.
· Carry League checkbook
