STRIKE!!....er, wrong sport!

Our next fundraiser will be on January 27, Sunday, at Pheasant Lanes, from 2-5. It will be
$10 for 2 games of bowling. Kids under 8 are $6; additional games will be available. Because we are wanting to make this a PR event as well, mingling with the community, bowling teams will have the option of drafting a MissFit to their team (if they choose). That means we will need this to be an event with many volunteers. However, it should be fun for us as well!

There will also be a raffle—name entered just for playing, and re-entered for each strike. There will be other prize categories as well (i.e. highest score, most interesting form).

Lynn and I have already talked to Ima about sending a flyer home with her kids, since she is a teacher. If you have an idea for how you can help in this way, please let us know (i.e. any way we can get flyers out). We should be getting flyers soon, so it would be good to know who can help distribute and how many they all need.

Hello all. So, to make this event more successful, we are encouraging that each of you compose a bowling team of 4-5 other people (hopefully not other Missfits, preferably family and friends). Once you have a team, post here so we can give you a time for bowling. We will stagger teams so we will have enough open lanes for our teams, as well as those who come on their own for our fundraiser. Thanks!

Soooo I just realized this was on Sunday and not Saturday, I work 3-11 that day. I'll still try to put together a team to send over though!

So, we are not going to hang flyers, but is there anywhere (such as Ima's school) in which you (league member) can distribute a flyer? We are trying to decide how many to print and need this information as soon as possible. Ima, are you still able to distribute at your school?

Well, I can probably pass them out to my whole class, so 30 for them. But then I can leave a stack with the other fliers in the office, but none of them need to be color copies if that's expensive. I can also hang one or two in the lounge. So maybe like 60ish?

Rosie will be taking money for this event, but we need 2-4 others who will record scores (so we know who wins prizes). You can either volunteer to do this from 2-3:30, 3:30-5, or the entire time. Anyone interested? We would like two people doing this during a shift, as it might be too much for just one person.

Team no team can help! It's me claw and Rosie. Claw and I were going to help Rosie out but we can make a team effort to help with this too!
