8/19/2012: Danvers Days Parade

We are signed up to skate in the Danvers Days Parade on August 19th. We skated this last year, and it was a lot of fun! Plus it is the weekend before our August 25th bout, which means this would be a wonderful opportunity to advertise! Also, the line up isn't even until 12 - 1, and the parade doesn't even start until 2. I know this is a busy weekend with the Farmer's Market, the Bs bout in Aurora, and the Mixer in Cedar Rapids, but this is an easy PR event, and parades are always delightful.

I will post the Sign Up and more details later. But put this on your calendar now! Also, we will need candy to toss, so if you can't skate, candy donations will be appreciated!

Also, Mark will you be available with your truck?

Date: August 19. Yes, this is the same weekend as the Missfit Drag Show, the Wanna B's bout in Aurora, and the Cedar Rapids Mixer, but please try to make it if you can. Parades are fun!!

Location: Line Up is at the Danvers Farmers Elevator starting at noon. Last year we learned we didn't have to be there right at noon, but we should be there by 1:00. The parade starts at 2:00 p.m.

The address for the Farmers Elevator is: 200 S. West St., Danvers, IL.

Outfits: Wear your awesome, yet family friendly outfits.

Other Details: We will skate in the parade and throw candy and pass out our bout information. We just need to be careful of the little children who are sitting along the parade route. Therefore, WE NEED CANDY!! I would appreciate it if every league member could at least donate a bag.

Also - Mark, will you be able to drive your truck again?

This event is a lot of fun! The crowd loves us! It is also in afternoon, so you can even sleep in a little! Please sign up!
