lucy webber fundraiser

Hey all we have been asked if a few of us can make it to little Lucy Webbersfundraiser on thurs august 11th from 630-11pm. I put it under general disscusions because it is not a missfit fundraiser. Below are some of the details for the event. It would be cool to get a handful of us in there to skate around and help for like an hour. We wouldn't have to pay the ticket price. Join us to support Team Lucy! Joke Productions, the Dying to do Letterman Team, and the Castle Theatre (www.thecastletheatre.com) will present a charity screening of the award winning documentary "Dying to do Letterman" (www.dyingtodoletterman.com). Come meet the star of the film, comedian Steve Mazan, your local roller derby team, The Missfits, participate in an exciting auction and raffle, and of course, see the movie! Tickets are $25.

All proceeds will support Lucy Weber and her family, Team Lucy (www.facebook.com/teamlucy) in their fight against leukemia. If you are unable to make the event, please consider making a donation at http://www.gofundme.com/Team-Lucy. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Here are some things that they need help with at this event. Remember you get in for free. It starts at 630pm. If you can an hours time will help them so much.

1. Sell raffle tickets for auctions(sitting at a table)
2. Sell team Lucy merchandise(sitting at a table)
3. Sell 50/50 tickets (walking and mingling with people)
4.We Are also setting up that day (unsure of time yet) so could use
a couple hands helping with that.

I can help! I'm booked 1-5 on Thursday, so might not be able to do setup, but otherwise I'll be free when you need me.

I can help from 6-8, maybe 9! I would like to be lazy and sit at a table since I will have been running around at work all day!

I'm still a maybe for this...it's my bff's birthday that night, and I'm waiting to hear the plans. I definitely want to come help for a bit, just don't know when!

Ok I just spoke to the main orgainzer of this event. She is based in the los angeles, ca area. She is so thankful for us helping team lucy! She asked me about roller derby and we chatted for awhile. She said that lucys mom, shawna told her all about us and what great things we do for our community!

Here is the agenda:

630- doors open
630-830-silent auction table/merch table
845-documentary showing
10-questions/answers and announcing raffle baskets

So we need help the most from 630-9. And a few stay till 1030ish. I have laura, common, pushy katz, patches, glitter, me. And maybe camp, beth and wrecks.
