exciting buisness for the league

Do u know someone who should be a captain? The missfits are giant n we need to expand to a fourth team. So how bout it? Nominate someone you think would make a great captain n tell us why:) do this by Sept 15 n then the league will vote in its fourth teams' captain(s)! Reply on this thread please. if you see your name nominated and absolutely don't want to do this, also reply here. we are hoping that people will step up if they are empowered by their sisters to do so. being a captain is a great opportunity. good luck ladies!

I have a few people in mind that I think would make great captains.

Skarebear: I think you have the leadership skills needed, you are very on top of buissiness and want to do anything you can for the league.

Dinah: You are a natural leader, you take control so well and I think this would make you a great captain.

Wrecka: Duh you are just super awesome and captaining would go together like Dactyls and Rawrs.

Jackers: I just love you and I don't even know if you are interested still, but I know you wanted to captain before. I certainly would be sad to see you leave the Dactyls but def wouldn't want to hold you back from what you want to do.

In a sea of derby love and support, Sick stands out as someone who's always there with a word of support or a kick in the ass when someone needs it. She's been half of an awesome new pair of Fresh Meat Committee heads, who had pretty big shoes to fill. She's on top of things, knowing who needs what, and trying to find the right help and instruction for each skater's need. There's also precious little she won't do for the league - from cleaning other people's stanky pads to offering up her own house for meetings when she's not even there.

I don't know if she'll accept, 'cause I know she's so proud to be a Bettie - but that's how she is, loyal as hell to her team. So if she's willing to move, a new team would get a great captain.

Oh - and Moxie, just to keep everything straight -

What all are we going to be voting on on the 15th, or soon after? How many captains will Team 4 have?

How many positions is any one victim person allowed to hold?

I haven't considered it much in the last few months bc I love being a Bettie!! And yes very proud to be on a team with such amazing girls! I will however think it over a bit more bc honestly I think every Missift is amazing!

Team captians have alot to do. They are on the training commitee and share practice duties with the other team captians. They schedule and run team practices and organize everything team related...ex ordering panties and jerseys. They should know their shit and be able to help the rest of their team be as awesome as possible. Bruiz E is so good at it that I would have a hard time leaving the Betties

I would love to nominate Stabs for this job. You have a heart and mind for derby. I have seen you run great practices, watched you make excellent decisions, treat everyone with respect, and seen you pick up on some really deep derby knowledge. Go for it Sissfit! Haa Zaa!

i'm gonna say i agree with all of those choices although bruiz e would be one sad bettie without sick n i would be one sad dactyl to lose jackers! but...i am all for empowering these awesome bitches!

and laura, we would vote just after the 15th and traditionally we have 2 captains per team: a captain n co captain. i'm hoping we can keep this tight and be able to draft this team with the others! oooh so exciting:) we don't have any home bouts scheduled so each team would have plenty of time to get cohesive and trained n help this 4th team get off the ground.

n my nomination of course goes to wrecka even tho i want to steal her for my very own coach:) she knows the game better than like anyone. i know you were nominated and accepted but girl i just wanted to get in on the love fest. on or off skates, you are awesome lady:)

Agreed with all the names thrown out so far! We're a kick ass group here. Not surprised we have so many names thrown into the ring.

I would like to nominate Ice Hurt as captain of the 4th team.

She has already had leadership experience. She is a kick ass player with tons of knowledge and skills to share with her team, and I think she would make a great anchor for a newer group of skaters to grow toward kicking everyone's ass!

Wrecka/Patches - Wrecka you are amazing and I learned so much from you bench coaching. Your love and drive for derby is infectious! Patches - you are rocktabulous and I love learning from you in our practices (especially when that booty knocks me on mine!). This marriage would rock my face off.

Stabs/Scarebear - Stabs you have been a leader from our first practice and you have evolved into one awesome derby dame i must say. I love learning from you and brainstorming on ideas and your heart for derby and it's ladies (and gents too) gives me the warm fuzzies! Scarebear you have been such a determined leader from the start and have loved learning with and from you. You are so organized and make sure we have our shit straight! Stabs & Scarebear...like Peanut Butter and Jelly...Peas & Carrots....just makes sense!

There are so many great choices named and even some not named...i'm just super excited we are creating another team!!! DERBY LOVE TO Y'ALL!!!

Thanks Louden! I am very grateful for all of the acceptance I have gotten from all the Missfits and I feel so proud to be part of this league! Its an honor to get a nod from fellow skaters. I know that I am able to lead and could help our 4th team grow strong while learning together if you were to choose me.

I have been looking for this thread every night for the last week. I expect that because since the practice I was made aware of this I was severely flattered and have been pontificating on said topic.
I work two jobs right now and am learning/practicing something I have been passionate about since I was thirteen. My main focus has got to be my art.
I love derby. Thru and thru. When I miss practice's it's like a black rainbow is sharting out a troll's nether regions....i.e. very sad for me. I don't think it would be fair of me, knowing there may be nights I cannot make, and questions that would go forgotten and un-answered by my team mates if I was the one being asked them.
As a derby girl I want to give passion to whatever team however I can, and right now in derby is not my time to co-control a pack of wild lady beasts. I need to work on my knowledge, hone my skills...become the eagle...blagh...blagh...blegh. That being said. I love each and everyone of you sexxxy face bitches. Your blood, sweat, and tears are haa-zaawe inspiring.
