Hello! Here is a first try at a L2 card. We are using different language at practice than the Push. I used their card and the Skating with Others section of the WFTDA rules to make this. Please comment! (P.S. Not sure how to upload a doc here. Maybe we can't? I just made a google doc and attached the url )

I turned attachments on, but since it's a free service we don't have a lot of storage space, Google Docs might be better.

As long as you all are fine with it, links to google docs work for me - no use filling this space with versions of stuff if we can just add a link.

Also! It does look good! And I'm still working on that drill bank... you'd be amazed at how many there are out there. I'm up to 75, in a big spreadsheet for now. I'm thinking I might write an iPhone/iPad app, if I can track down the source for all of these, and/or re-write some of them. But in the meantime, the committee (or anyone) could sort the spreadsheet by the categories to come up with ideas.

I have at least one good drill in the bank for variable speed:
Split everyone up into groups of 4, line them up around the track, so that one person in each group is on the inside boundary line, one is on the outside boundary line, and two are in between.

Start skating on a whistle/signal. Each group must maintain their straight line, which means that the people on the outside need to speed up around the corners and brake on the straights, and the people on the inside do the opposite.

On a whistle blast, the person on the outside must cut behind their line and get to the inside boundary, where they'll replace the innermost person, so everyone else in the group takes a step to their right.

This teaches people a bit about track physics (where you need to accelerate and decelerate to maintain your position on the track relative to your teammates), gets them used to the idea of recycling w/in the pack, and teaches them how to cut to the inside fast.

You should be able to do this both at speed and at a crawl. It also builds the kind of fine speed control you need to be able to trap and hold a blocker from the opposing team in a power jam situation.
