We are serving BruizE / Moxie's Home made spaghetti, with a side of bread and salad! We could serve up to 120 people!

I'll make a signup genius about it later, but Moxie just found kick ass deals on some stuff this week (if yall want to purchase your donation items now!)

Spaghetti noodles: when you buy 10 at Kroger, they're 0.79 each. We need 10-12 boxes.
Canned tomatoes: when you buy 10 at Kroger, they're 0.49 each. We need 20-25 cans.
These deals end on Wednesday.
We will eventually need tomato paste and sauce, salad ingredients and bread, but we haven't seen any deals yet.

If anyone else sees deals, or thinks we can get something for free from a restaurant, post it here! Or look into it! If you plan on buying something, post it here so we don't get too many of 1 item, or leave an ingredient behind.

http://krogercentral.mywebgrocer.com/Circular/KROGER-856/00856445/Weekly/1/6

to get these deals, you must buy 10 of the items in the deal. so for instance, if you buy 5 cans of tomatoes and 5 boxes of pasta, it qualifies. or 10 pastas or 10 tomatoes. 7.90 plus tax for 10 boxes of pasta and 4.90 plus tax for 10 cans of tomatoes. i'm not sure if tomato paste or tomato sauce is included in the deals yet or not but those things are generally under .50 cents. each batch of sauce (includes 2 cans of italian style diced tomatoes, 1 can tomato paste and 1 can tomato sauce) will serve 8-10 people. we can just add italian seasoning and minced onion which are cheap also. also also-the recipe originates from bruiz e so i don't want to steal her thunder. i just make it a little more simple without cutting green peppers or onions...my family doesn't like those so much. ok so yay-cheap easy food. i'm still searching for deals on bread and salad.

also, if you don't like shopping, donate money and we will do it for you. my kroger gas points will soar:)

Sign up genius hates me and for some reason I can never get it to work. I cheated and Dinah would just always give me a job and I would just tell her what I was bringing for a bout. Lame, I know, but whatevs.... So you would please put me on the list for 10 boxes of pasta? That would be awesome. Can I bring it to one of you? Thanks for putting this together, I really appreciate it!

We are scheduled for Jan 24th for dinner at 7pm. This is a Friday- they are booked solid for Saturdays and Sundays (lunch and dinners) for months. We can get there anytime to start prepping.

I don't see a problem with it as long as they're supervised. I may need to call Salvation Army and ask them if there is an age requirement, though I doubt there is.

By the way kids are welcome. Just keep in mind that some of the attendees have naughty language. And kids need to be supervised at all times.
