Scoreboard Software
What software do we use for our scoreboard?
Zebra Huddle mentioned this one and there's a new version being posted on 8/4 which has even more options. It even lets you select the current jammers and have their PR photos loaded up on the screen.

Looks pretty cool to me. And it can be setup to produce stat sheets for the jam number, when points were added, etc.
You can setup a slideshow with advertiser images, puppy pictures, whatever as well to have it rotate through during timeouts or during the 30s setup.

Re: Scoreboard Software
The one they had this last weekend had each jammer under the scores, then the one that got lead would be flashing which was nice in case there was any confusion.

Re: Scoreboard Software
Okay, I downloaded it and played with it.
Even as it stands it's pretty awesome if we took the time to setup the games before we started and loaded player photos because the operator can watch the lineup and select the jammers for each jam and when selected it loads their photo beneath their team logo. They can also hit a lead button if they get lead and it has a little lead indicator that shows on the scoreboard. It will cycle through advertiser banners during the 30s between jams.
I don't like how it handles timeouts personally but I figured out a trick where I just set the timeout for 1s duration and then we could restart the game time without any issue (restarting the game clock didn't clear the timeout time was the issue I noticed. Otherwise, it was pretty smooth and could be used fairly easily with some practice.

Re: Scoreboard Software
Pia told us at camp to always look at the score board when we are jamming to see if we where lead jammer. Lol I just thought that had way better stuff than us.
Re: Scoreboard Software
So I couldn't see which software you were talking about, but I have JamTracker on my laptop, and have used it as scoreboard operator at my last 2 Push Bouts. Its pretty user-friendly. Before that we were using the program Xtra Schloppy had created.

Yes, we currently use what Schloppy had. It's called DerbyBoard. I think it's fine if we use a new program, as long as someone is trained on it prior to bout day, and it's set-up prior to bout day. The past few bouts, we've been lucky to have Champ be able to run it, and have been dealing with pictures for the teams on the day of (not a fan.)
We can still continue to use my laptop on bout days and such if we need, but I won't have time pre-bouts to gather the necessary pics and such. Do we have anyone that would be willing to step up as the scoreboard extraordinaire?! (i.e. learn the program, set it up before bouts, and either run it or be willing to train people to run it the day of the bouts, etc.)
