Fave Skater again?

How did everyone feel about the "Vote for your Fave Skater" that we did at the last bout?
We kept all the bags, so we could easily do it again if everyone thought it was cool.
If I remember right - Suicide got the most votes w/ around $65 dollars.
Not sure on a total, its prob on here somewhere and I have missed it!!!

Let me know what you guys think or if you think we need to tweak it at all!!

I liked it! It was an easy way to bring in some money, I thought. It ended up with about $130. And maybe the more we do it, the more people will be prepared and bring more?!

super easy fundraiser and the mafia girls were all over the bag watching last time!!! the only problem i see is this bout has tons of dif skaters from dif leaugues i feel kinda shitty not letting there fans vote for them!! and it may be too much work to make up new bags for all those skaters.... it looks unprofessional when people ask for skaters and we don't have a bag for them... if we could get new bags made for the rest of the skaters from other teams then they could be named the midwest all star fan favorite maybe making this like an annual event that we promote in the future as such... cause i have a feeling this bout is gonna be soooo awesome!!!!

They havnt even sent pics for programs yet...honestly the likely hood of getting all of them before the 8th is slim to non.

Do we really need to include their pictures? Their fans will know who they are, and our fans will know their names too if they want to vote for them after watching them play. We could just make their bags look cute. Maybe someone crafty could draw a mini jersey with their name, number, and team color on the bag? I don't think we should not do this just because we don't have their pics.

What about a poster board (or 2 ) with all the names on it and say a bunch of square boxes beside their name where people can sign and put the amount? Might get more $$$ when people see that their favorate is not winning. Just a though

Mark that's a good idea- you could make a poster with the names and the fans pay $1 for a star sticker/"vote" and put it by the name and it can be a visible competition all night.

And something like larger stars for larger donations. Some may want to give $5 maybe $10 or more to get their favorate to the top.

I also love the poster/sticker idea! Should I go ahead and make the poster when I make the big check?

my only concern with the poster is our ability to reuse it the bags are being saved and can be used over again multiple times.... also it was easy for people to look in the bag and guess who was winning but they never knew by how much so they kept donating to make sure there girl won!!!!! the stickers would might make people not donate if they see that suicide has 50 stars and the girl they wanna vote for has only 3!!! just my 5 cents worth!!!

I say we give the poster a shot, and they are cheap to make so its not a big deal to make a new one if it works out. We tried the bags and it went well, but maybe the poster would work better....also I would like to hope that if someone really wants their skater to win they would still vote even if someone else has 50 stars....maybe they would donate more and ask their friends to help that person winn too!

ok so with the poster do we do all of the all star mixer skaters and all of the bettie/dactyls or just the all star mixer? or 2 posters with 1 winner from each bout?!
