08/21 (Sunday): Danver Days Parade

We are registered to skate in the Danvers Days Parade on Sunday, August, 21! The parade starts at 2:00 pm, but we need to be at the Danvers Farmers Elevator at noon to line up. We are encouraged to throw candy and trinkets, and we can also pass out fliers. This is a family friendly event.

This makes me sad. I really wanted to do this but I have to go work at the stupd state fair on sunday I really hate my job!

Here's details:

Location: Line Up is at the Danvers Farmers Elevator starting at noon. I will be there at noon to check us in. We do have a little leeway, but I think we should try to be there at noon. The parade starts at 2:00 p.m.

The address for the Farmers Elevator is: 200 S. West St., Danvers, IL. I mapquested the directions and did a practice drive, and I got there.

Outfits: Wear your awesome, yet family friendly outfits.

Other Details: We can skate during the parade, we just need to be careful of the little children who are sitting along the parade route. I will also be bringing candy to throw to all the kids. If you would prefer to walk that's fine, in fact you could lead the group by holding the sign!

This event should be a lot of fun! Also, even though it's on a Sunday, it's in the afternoon, so you can even sleep in a bit and still make it!

i work at my 2nd job 11a-6pm sunday

Would you want me to drive my pimp mobile with the strobes on maybe a few signs taped to it and some can ride in the back and also carry the candy or the skaters? Just a thought let me know.

I'm in and would also like to carpool, if possible! Lemme know, or we can finalize plans tonight at the B or tomorrow at practice...

I like the idea Mark, but I have already registered us as walkers/skaters and I didn't say we had a car, and I don't want to stress out the coordinator by switching our entry at the last minute. But this is definitely something to keep in mind for future parade appearances. Thanks!

A few people I know from Danvers said Mollie (who they said was in charge of the parade im not sure) is expecting a few entry forms on parade day at the registation table and said they are sure she would have no problem. But if you think its a problem thats ok. Just let me know.
